In roleplaying, what is the most common thing we do first? That's right, we make a character! Some times it a side-character, with no set name, gender, or personality. Well, fist off in making good roleplay post is making sure that you know the character well, inside and out.
Names;;
Well, lets say you are starting with a name. This [for me] is the most fun part of the character creation! Here, you get what is [most times] the main feel of the character. Be creative. Formal names are perfectly fine when doing a human character, but I've never seen a wolf or animal named Bob living the life as a lead stallion in the wild ;]
Apperance;;
Some people believe apperance is everything. Others base absoloutly nothing about others looks. Now, we all know that not everyone in the world is the perfect Paris Hilton look-alike; Therefore our characters can be also. I'm not saying this means that your character has to be so 'differant looking' that they are refused in all roleplays, but you dont always have to use a celebrity for your characters looks.
Personality;;
This is one of the main things you need to focus on when making a character. If you are used to quiet, shy people, why not break out of the box and try to play an outgoing spontanious person? The more you know your characters personality the better your post are bound to be. If your personality on your profile said that your character was kind and then you go off and act evil with them, this doesn't put a good impression on people, now does it?
